She is open to coaching, hard work, and learning more. Her physical trainer is Joseph Garcia out of 505Fit. She also works with Johnny Kowalawski, Eric Rose, Kevin Jackson and others. Her main coaches while home in Santa Fe, NM are Michael Wayman and Coach Rosey (her mother). In 2000, trained at the Italian Junior development and represented. In 1999, ETA (European Tennis Association) invited me to play the master ETA in Prato, Italy where there were present the best 8 European juniors under 16.

Macy is quieter, however makes friends easily and fits into many different environments and with different personalities and styles of coaching. Former professional tennis player reached the semifinals of the Italian Junior Championship under 16 and represented Italy being part of the Italian National Junior team. Macy played high school tennis in the 8th and 9th grade, and then moved to John Newcombe Tennis Academy and now lives at the Jackson Bridge Tennis Academy. She loves traveling, spending time with her 4 dogs and 1 cat, as well as going to Target and visiting Oklahoma where both her grandparents live to re-connect with her tribal community of Briggs and her tribe. Macy has lived in Oklahoma, NM, TX, and CA. She has also been a USTA NetGeneration Ambassador and works to share the sport with Native American kids in Oklahoma and New Mexico by putting on free clinics. Macy is also a Certified PTR Apprentice, completing her training and certification as a Freshman. She is also working on fundraising for the Tahlequah High School Tennis Courts for lighting, so the Cherokee community in her home town can play tennis at night. As a junior, Macy is working on organizing a flex tournament to get kids in her community playing again safely after COVID-19. As a sophomore in high school Macy raised and donated close to 1700 pairs of shoes to Soles4Souls. Macy's parents and grandparents have always stressed giving back to ones community. Macy travels annually to the US Open and the USTA Annual and Semi-Annual Meetings because of her mothers work with the USTA (National Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee). (which delivers tennis to diverse populations). Through this Macy has worked the front desk, is a racquet stringer, camp counselor volunteers her time with Serve It Up, Inc.

Macy's family owns Shellaberger Tennis Center in Santa Fe, NM and EMR Tennis Management. I had the pleasure of learning from Rick Macci, featured in the movie King Richard, awarded United States Professional Tennis Association National Coach of the Year (seven times), and trained five number one ranked tennis players: Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Andy Roddick, Jennifer Capriati, and Maria Sharapova. She is a ninth generation direct descendent of Sequoyah, the inventor of the Cherokee Syllabary. She was educated at a full-immersion school focusing on reading, speaking and writing in her tribal language and syllabary: Cherokee. Macy Rose is an enrolled tribal member of the Cherokee Nation.
